3D modeling is the process of creating the surface of any 3 dimentional object through a computer software system. 3D modeling is most typically used to make video games or more specifically computer games. However, it is also used widely in the medical fields in order to create complex models of organs and body parts. Some popular 3D modeling software applications include blender, solidworks, and sketchup. These are all pretty basic systems, but can still be used to create complex designs and figures. 3D modeling is very helpful in portraying new business ideas. If businesses have an idea for a new product, they could create a prototype through one of these systems to see how it would look and feel.
